This course will focus on three areas: climate, oceans, and biodiversity. We will delve into the chemistry and physics underlying the changes that are occurring in our atmospheres and oceans and how these changes are altering the biological systems upon which we depend. Focal points will be on warming, sea level rise, ocean acidification, and eutrophication and the role that these agents of change play in the diversity and function of major biomes, including arid and polar systems, temperate and tropical forests, coral reefs, and wetlands.

This is your wiki! Here you will find pages that contain the
for each week, and instructions for upcoming assignments. There is also a discussion page that will be a resource for all students to 1) ask questions that arise on the subject matter, 2) post information from news outlets, blogs, primary literature, and other sources that may be of interest to the group, and 3) blog about their own work and how it relates to the topic of global change biology.
